Manyata Primary School, Tanzania

Luston Primary is proud to be partnered with Manyata Primary School in Tanzania as part of the British Council projects of Connecting Classrooms.

Accessing the Global Learning programme, the two schools have worked collaboratively exploring issues that shape our world.

The current project is Zero Waste where both schools have examined in detail, ways in which the wider school communities can consider reducing waste.

Members of the staff team from both schools have been able to visit and work with the school pupils. Mrs Jones (Cherry Class teacher) visited Manyata in February 2019 and Mrs Mlay (Headteacher of Manyata) visited Luston in June 2019. Throughout the year letters, cards and emails are exchanged between the pupils and teachers of the two schools.
