Monday 11 May 2026 Bones in Ledicot Class We have been looking at bones in Ledicot Class. This week we put on our thinking caps and rolled up our sleeves to explore skeleton bones and learn how our bodies work—because yes, our busy bodies are basically a walking, talking science project! From discovering what skeleton bones do to spotting how muscles team up to help us move, we' have learnt some cool facts.

Monday 11 May 2026 Fractions in Airfield Class We have looked at halves and quarters over the last 2 weeks in Airfield Class. It has been fun to take part in our fractions workshops and to really explore what fractions mean and how we can use them in our daily lives.

Monday 11 May 2026 Water-colour Art in Year One and Two In our lessons, the children learnt how to use water colour paints and discover what happens when colours meet water. We practised gentle brush strokes, looked at how shades can blend, and experimented with different amounts of paint and water. Think of it as science, but with more puddles —because yes, we were exploring what happens when you add a little extra water!

Monday 11 May 2026 Fractions in Airfield Class Welcome to our Fractions in Airfield Class, where we're taking learning off the page and onto the runway! We have enjoyed a fun workshop to help children understand halves and quarters. That means we'll be splitting things up—carefully—so everyone gets an equal share (and no one has to “just have a little bit,” which is what fractions are definitely not!).

Y6 Leavers
What a send off for our Y6 leavers! It has been a little bit different this year but what an end to their journey with us at Shobdon School. It has been a wonderful to see you all grow and develop into such animated and creative individuals. From den building to story writing, maths puzzling and more - you have all been such an important part of the Shobdon School community. We wish you lots of luck for the future and will miss you all very much!
