Tuesday 12 November 2024 Odd Socks Day Odd Socks Day is a fun and lighthearted event that encourages people to embrace individuality and celebrate differences. On this day, participants are encouraged to wear mismatched socks as a symbol of uniqueness and to promote acceptance of diversity. Odd Socks Day is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about important social issues, including bullying and prejudice.

Thursday 26 September 2024 Exploring states of matter in Ledicot In Ledicot class we have enjoyed starting the Autumn term by learning about 'States of Matter' in our science lessons. What fun we have had investigating the changes of state by completing a variety of experiments including; dancing raisins and ballooning!

Friday 12 July 2024 Shobdon Sports Day 2024 What a brilliant time we all had at this year's Sports Day. The weather was very kind to us - not too hot and not too cold - as our 3 house teams competed for the Sports Award 2024. Teme, Arrow and Lugg took part in a carousel of field activities in the morning before the track events in the afternoon.

Friday 12 July 2024 Airfield and Arches trip to Shobdon Arboretum Our YR and KS1 children had a lovely time on their local area trip to Shobdon Arches and the Arboretum (not to be confused with our school class names!). It was a little grey, overcast and very chilly but we made the most of having such beautiful countryside to explore right on our doorstep. A big thank you to Penny Corbett for allowing us access to the Arboretum where we ate our delicious picnic, hunted for bears, created a rainbow collage and drew picture in the style of Monet. It was a very busy day indeed!

Y6 Leavers
What a send off for our Y6 leavers! It has been a little bit different this year but what an end to their journey with us at Shobdon School. It has been a wonderful to see you all grow and develop into such animated and creative individuals. From den building to story writing, maths puzzling and more - you have all been such an important part of the Shobdon School community. We wish you lots of luck for the future and will miss you all very much!
