A Typical School Day

A typical Shobdon School day:

8:00am Breakfast club starts. Entrance is via the main reception. No need to book -  simply pay on the door (£2 per session).
8.40am The gates open onto the playground so parents can drop their children off via the side door opposite the Garden Room (Ledicot Classroom) where they are supervised by school staff.
8.50am School starts with registration
9.00am First learning session
10.55am

Playtime (free, healthy snacks provided for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children)

11:10am Second learning session
12.15am Morning finishes and the children have lunch 
13.15pm

Afternoon learning session which includes a 15 minute playtime for EYFS and KS1.

End of the school day

YR, Y1 and 2 Airfield and Arches

Parents are asked to collect their children from the playground door of their classroom.

Please ensure that your child’s teacher knows who is meeting your child and that the Head Teacher is informed, in confidence, of any court restrictions regarding access to particular children. If for any reason you are held up, please inform the school and we will keep your child safe in the school building until you arrive. We ask that you ensure that your children are supervised once they have been dismissed by their class teacher.

End of school day

Y3, 4, 5 & 6- Ledicot and Arboretum 

Parents are asked to collect their children from the playground door of their classroom.

Y5 and Y6 children may walk home independently with written consent from a parent or guardian.

15.20pm

Extra-Curricular clubs start

A range of after school clubs are provided by the staff. Clubs are for a specific age range and most change each term. Popular clubs have included:  Football, Netball, Rounders,  Gardening Club, Spotlight, Gymnastics , Athletics, Tennis and Multi-skills.

Club places must be booked through the school office.
