School closures

Following the announcement from the government this evening, Luston Primary and Shobdon Primary will close to most pupils and switch to remote learning from Tuesday 5th January 2021. The Luston Nursery will also be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January) to plan their provision for this period of national lockdown.
Tomorrow, various tasks will be uploaded for your child to complete remotely and from Wednesday 6th, all tasks will be following the planned curriculum for the Spring term for each class. All children have accessed Seesaw as a learning platform, or Tapestry in Cherry and Airfield classes.

Both primary schools will be open to children of critical workers and those regarded as vulnerable. For definition of the two groups please access this link.
Those children who are eligible to attend school will complete the tasks provided on the remote learning platform. There will be no wraparound care provided. The school day will commence at Luston 8.45am - 3.05pm and Shobdon 8.50am - 3.10pm. Children will be expected to wear the school uniform and bring a packed lunch.

The closure of schools creates much uncertainty but please be assured that the Federation team and the Governing Body are there to support the school community through these challenging times.
Please monitor the Federation website regularly for further news and information.
