Luston and Shobdon Community Primary Federation

Luston Clubs & Wraparound Care

We are pleased to be able to offer both a Breakfast Club and an After School Club to help busy working parents and carers with childcare. We are also proud to offer a number of free after school sport and activity clubs each term.

Breakfast Club

In order to support our working parents and those dropping off siblings at preschool and high schools, we offer a supervised Breakfast Club, that starts at 8:00am and finishes when the school day begins at 8:35am. All children who attend are provided with a breakfast which typically includes cereals, toast and fruit juice. This is also an oppertunity for children to enjoy chatting with friends, drawing, colouring or reading and provides a calm and reaxed start to the school day.

The cost for each session is £2.50 and sessions will need to be prebooked via ScoPay by 12:00pm the previous school day, although bookings can also be made in advance at any point throughout the school year.

After School Club

To help parents with childcare after school, our After School Club is availble to all children. These sessions typically include a snack and activities such as games and crafts.

Our 3:05pm to 4:15pm session cost £4.50 and the 3:05pm to 5:05pm session costs £9.00. (We are also able to offer a 4:15pm to 5:05pm session for those children who require After School Club provision after attending one of our sports and activities clubs. The cost for this session in £4.50). All sessions will need to be prebooked via ScoPay by 12:00pm the previous school day, but bookings can also be made in advance throughout the school year.

After School Sport & Activity Clubs

Each term we run a number of sport and activity clubs. Some of these are run by our talented staff team who give up their time to share their passions, skills and hobbies, whilst other clubs are provided by outside organisations. We are incredibley proud to be able to offer these clubs free of charge as we seek to give our pupils oppertunities to expand their experiences and interests.

We inform parents and carers at the start of each term about which clubs will be running and ask that you sign your child up for clubs using the Arbor app. Clubs typically run from 3:05pm to 4:05pm.

Our Nursery team also provide wrapround care for nursery aged pupils. More information about this provision can be found on the Nursery page.

We view both clubs and wraparound care as an extension of our school day and as such we expect pupils to uphold the same standards of behaviour.  We reserve the right to assess the suitability of pupils to each club and wraparound provision will discuss any ongoing concerns with parents and carers.
