Luston and Shobdon Community Primary Federation

Shobdon Clubs & Wraparound Care

We are pleased to be able to offer both a Breakfast Club and an After School Squad club to help busy working parents and carers with childcare. We are also proud to offer a number of after school sport and activity clubs each term.

Breakfast Club

In order to support our working parents and those dropping off siblings at preschool and high schools, we offer a supervised Breakfast Club, that starts at 8:00am and finishes when the school day begins at 8:40am. All children who attend are provided with a breakfast which typically includes cereals, toast and fruit juice. This is also an oppertunity for children to enjoy chatting with friends, drawing, colouring or reading and provides a calm and reaxed start to the school day.

The cost for each session is £2.50 and there is no need to pre-book - just turn up and pay at the door.

After School Squad

To help parents with childcare after school, our After School Squad club is availble to all children. These sessions typically include a snack and activities such as games and crafts.

After School Squad is available from 3:15pm to 4:45pm and bookings must be made in advance via the school office.

After School Sports & Activity Club

Each term we run a number of sport and activity clubs. Some of these are run by our talented staff team who give up their time to share their passions, skills and hobbies, whilst other clubs are provided by outside organisations. We are incredibley proud to be able to offer these clubs free of charge as we seek to give our pupils oppertunities to expand their experiences and interests.

We inform parents and carers at the start of each term about which clubs will be running and ask that you sign your child up for clubs using the Arbor app. Clubs typically run from 3:15pm to 4:15pm.

We view both clubs and wraparound care as an extension of our school day and as such we expect pupils to uphold the same standards of behaviour.  We reserve the right to assess the suitability of pupils to each club and wraparound provision will discuss any ongoing concerns with parents and carers.
