At Luston Primary School we are delighted to offer every child an opportunity to take part in a free Cultural Enrichment trip each year.
Under our programme of organised trips we aim to offer every child in our school community an opportunity to attend one Cultural Enrichment trip every year. These trips are separate to existing curriculum based school trips and work on rotation so that a child who joins our school community in Nursery and leaves at the end of Year 6 will have had the chance to be a part of eight different trips, focused on eight different cultural events and themes. The themese are:

- Watching a performance on stage - Nursery
- Gardens and Nature - Year R
- History and Heritage - Year 1 or 2
- Zoos and Wildlife - Year 1 or 2
- Theatre - Year 3 or 4
- Classical Music - Year 3 or 4
- Professional Sport - Year 5 or 6
- Live Music and Production - Year 5 or 6

We believe that there are many advantages to undertaking visits like this and hope that they will help to broaden our students’ horizons and enrich their understanding of the wider world around them, as well as complementing other areas of their learning.

It is our aim to keep the cost of these trips to an absolute minimum, and where possible free of charge, in order to make them readily accessible to all.
